Conceived as a collector’s travel journal, Carnet des Hautes Terres - Tonkin Edition celebrates the romance of exploration across the highlands of Northern Vietnam.

Created through a collaboration between HC Artisan and designer SON-N, the collection draws inspiration from journeys through remote mountains, winding passes, and elevated plateaus, capturing the enduring allure of discovery. Like pages from a travel diary, each piece preserves impressions gathered along the way landscapes, encounters, craftsmanship, and cultural memories.

Lacquer, woven rattan, genuine leather, and natural textiles are brought together with references to the artistic heritage of Vietnam’s ethnic communities, from indigo-dyed fabrics to traditional brocade patterns. Reimagined through a contemporary lens, these elements form a collection that is both rooted in place and timeless in spirit.
